PHASE II
PHASE I
The dynamics and Scriptural view of crisis is presented by the authors--one a pastor, the other, a professional counselor. The student will learn how to better understand the issues in a crisis situation as well as the principles that can help one face a crisis.
Creation Therapy is a new approach to counseling that deals with the inner man rather than outer manifestations or problems. Creation Therapy will teach you how to identify the “hidden” problems and how to counsel those who turn to you for help.
This counseling course includes: textbook, workbook and Code of Ethics.
Persons who successfully complete the course qualify for membership in the S.A.C.C. Being a member of the S.A.C.C. provides authorization to administer and use the Arno Profile System. Membership requires a $25 application fee and $50 annual dues.
Members of the S.A.C.C. can administer the A.P.S. to those whom they are counseling and receive a 7-8 page computer-generated profile on the individual being counseled.
This course will cover, on VHS or DVD four hours of video instruction. The instructor will provide the student with an overview of the "Big Eight" (types of secular counseling/therapeutic methods). In addition, the student will be taught the difference between Christian and secular counseling, goals, techniques, and several other important topics, such as the dangers and pitfalls of counseling.
This course is approximately 300 pages in length. The candidate will be provided with general information regarding basic theories concerning historical systems of psychology, counseling, biblical theories of counseling and the utilization of N.C.C.A.'s counseling model, Temperament Theory.
